About Us
Charley got the idea for the name of the farm from the Bonzo Dog Band song of the
1970s. In 2006, we registered the business name and opened our dairy goat
business. Our plan is to have the milking and cheese making facilities completed
and operational by spring of 2008.
Our farm philosophy is to keep it simple. Wherever it is practical, we make our
products by hand and we try to make as little of an impact on our forested 14.5 acres
as possible.
Our first two employees are Thor and Chocolate - two lovable 3-year-old Border
Collies in training who we hope to be top notch goat dogs over the next few years.
The dogs are our partners in moving the goats from place to place and for protecting
them from predators.
