Come Visit the Farm!
Visitors are always welcome at Jollity Farm!
We’re a real working farm, so there’s no formal entrance, no admission fee, and no guarantee that the humans will be standing around waiting for visitors. We might be milking goats, making cheese, cleaning the barn (glamorous, we know), or generally doing the many things it takes to keep a farm running.
But that’s part of visiting a working farm! Come wander, see what’s happening, say hello to the goats, meet the chickens, look for Otie, and take a peek around the farm. You might catch us making cheese, see the goats heading out to the forest, or discover something we weren’t expecting either. The goats are usually much better at dropping what they’re doing to greet you than we are.
Our tiny farm store is open too, with our handmade cheeses, goat milk soaps and lotions, Jollity Farm goodies, and cups of goat treats for our four-legged residents.

Friday Evening Farm Tour: After Hours at Jollity Farm
Come see what happens when the visitors go home and we start getting the farm ready for the night.
This small, adults-only evening experience starts at 5:00 PM and follows along with our real evening farm shutdown. We’ll feed the goats, get everyone tucked in and secure for the night, and introduce you to donkey Otie and the retired girls.
And if the stars—and the goats—align, we may even head into the pasture with our retired ladies for some quiet time, scratches and cuddles. We call this part goat therapy. ❤️
There’s no staged performance or carefully choreographed tour. You’re getting a behind-the-scenes look at the end of a real working farm day, with plenty of time to ask questions and enjoy the animals.
We’ll finish the evening with a Jollity Farm goat cheese tasting, because no visit to a goat dairy should end without cheese.
And before you head home, the farm store will be open for a little after-hours shopping. Pick up some of the cheese you just tasted, handmade goat milk soap, lotion, or a little something to remind you of your evening at the farm.

What to Wear
Please wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking around a working farm. Farm activities are dependent on weather, animals and the realities of farm life, so while we’ll do our best to include everything described, goat cuddles are always at the discretion of the goats!

Please help us keep both guests and goats healthy.
• Wash or sanitize your hands before feeding or handling goats
• Wash and sanitize again afterward
• Hand sanitizer is available near the goat pen
• A hand-washing station is located in the milking parlor

Saturday Morning Fall Farm Tour: A Morning at Jollity Farm
Looking for a fall farm experience in El Dorado County that's a little different? Come spend a morning at Jollity Farm and see what really happens at a working goat dairy.
Our Saturday morning farm tour starts at 9:00 AM, right in the middle of morning milking. You'll get to watch the goats being milked, meet the animals, and get a behind-the-scenes look at daily life on our small family farm in El Dorado County.
We'll talk about how we care for our goats, how fresh goat milk becomes handcrafted cheese, and what's happening around the farm this time of year. And right now, there's one particularly important topic:
It's breeding season! 🐐❤️
Which means... kids in about five months!
We'll have plenty of time for questions and conversation before finishing with a Jollity Farm goat cheese tasting, featuring small-batch cheeses made right here on the farm.
This is a real working farm, not a staged attraction, so the experience may vary a little depending on the goats, the weather and what farm life throws at us that morning. That's part of the fun!
Bringing 2-legged Kids?
We love curious kids and we're happy to answer their questions—including the ones adults sometimes wish they'd asked later. 😆
It's a working farm, and breeding season is part of farm life, so parents should be prepared for age-appropriate but honest answers about where baby goats come from. We use the real words for things around here. If your child asks a question, we're probably going to answer it!
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Children should be old enough to understand that they cannot put their hands in their mouth until after washing.
And please — no running. It scares the goats.
