Farmstead Goat Cheese – Fresh, Local & Made by Hand
What is farmstead goat cheese?
Yes, it is artisan cheese. However, it also carries the more rare designation of farmstead cheese. At Jollity Farm, we create our cheeses only from the milk that is produced by the animals that we care for and love. All our cheeses are made in small batches here at our creamery in Garden Valley, CA . We are the only cheese producer in El Dorado County and the only farmstead cheese maker near Sacramento, CA
seasonal cheese
At Jollity Farm, our cheeses are crafted with care and follow the natural rhythms of our herd and the seasons. Our chèvre is available most of the year, while feta shines as a warm-weather favorite (think tomato and watermelon season).
In the cooler months we make Cajeta and ricotta. They require lots of heat and there is no AC in a cheese making room :)
Check back often—our seasonal offerings change throughout the year, bringing fresh, hand-crafted cheese straight from our farm to your table.
Goat milk cheeses are produced at our farm in Garden Valley, CA.
Jollity Farm is the only licensed dairy in El Dorado County.
Our farmstand is open 9am to 5pm seven days a week.

Hill Billy Heat is fast become a favorite chevre! Inspired by a local resident on the Divide, we make this chevre with pickled jalapeno peppers. Each batch is mixed by hand to create a mix with just the right amount of heat for us hill folk, but the flatlanders like it too! It is a good alternative to Habanero when fresh habaneros are not available. Try it & let us know what you think.

Aged cheeses
A white mold goat cheese. This bloomy rind cheese changes with the season, but never fails to delight. When young, it is soft and creamy with a thin rind. Aged a bit longer the rind thickens and the flavor becomes sharper with a tart finish. Try it with a good bread, fresh fruit and honey! Typlically available only for a short period when the conditions in our aging cave are just right (temperature and humidity).
